Boca Raton Academy

I can’t believe it took me this long to find this site, considering it’s part of my job to be adept at surfing the web. What’s really ironic is that a little over a year ago, shortly after I moved back to Boca with my wife, Amy, and our 4-year-old son, Barry, I visited the old campus and spent over an hour getting a tour with Mrs. Becker. She took me around and we saw Mrs. Imperato and a couple of others and it felt a little weird being back there.

Has anything more happened with the most recent reunion plans being put together for the Class of ‘83 and beyond? I spoke with Elliott Koolik a few months back and he mentioned something about it. Now that I am my own boss as a freelance writer working for the Miami Dolphins, the Miami Herald, The Palm Beach Post, the Associated Press and others, I am in control of my time so it would be great to see some familiar faces again before NFL training camps start in July.

Anyway, it’s nice to see that Bulldogs fever hasn’t waned. And if anybody still has any old issues of The Viewfinder, I’d love to see them so that I can compare some of my old stories to what I am writing now.

Is anyone interested in getting together for a casual type of reunion? I don’t have time to plan it but I will be more than happy to get together a list of everyone’s email addresses or other contact information. Maybe we can have a small happy hour or something if no one wants to plan a full-scale get together.

I still live in Aventura. I have two boys who are now 7 & 9. I quit practicing law after I had my little one and now I own two fashion jewelry stores which is lots of fun.

I miss my old Boca Academy Buddies and Dazzler girls. My parents still live in Boca so I’m up there quite a bit.
By the way, my little sister Jodi lives in Atlanta.

Are there any dinosaurs out there? I was a junior in
1976 (yes, I’m old!) and the seniors had a graduating class of three! I have kept in touch with one of my classmates for thirty years, we’re still best friends, but if anybody from that era can work a computer, it would be great to hear from them!

Back in July 2001 we had our reunion. It was great to see all of your faces, but where has everyone gone?

Hi everyone, Randi (Cohen) Migatz and myself are going to put together a 25 year reunion in Spring of 2008. Just wanted to say hi to the Class of 87′. I’m living in Bethesda, Maryland and working on a third child (the tie-breaker). There’s lots to do up here but I miss Florida (or maybe I just miss sweating a lot) and I’m curious where all of my old buddies have gone. Does anyone remember protesting out in front of the school?

Well was just looking around and saw this site has had some changes since I was here last. Just thought I’d drop in and say hello, I am still around the Boca area. As I posted a couple years back, I am an attorney who focuses on real estate matters. I went to Boca Academy from 5th - 7th Grade..I would guess that would have been 1978-81? (high school graduation class of 1986). It is with sadness to note the passing of Paul Alan Fraschetti on August 20, 2006. Paul was a 1979 graduate of the Academy.

His obituary notice may be found here for the time being.

Its amazing what a search will pull up.  I just happended to search Boca Raton Academy and came across this site.  So here is a quick update.

I live in Tampa with my wife Nancy and 6 year old son Jack.  We get to Boca a few times a year to visit my mother Jackie and older brother Marc.  My younger brother Brad lives in Ogden Utah with his wife and 4 kids.
